Anthropology Hosts Environmental Speakers

On Monday, October 20th the Anthropology Department will host Barbara Rose Johnston, author of Life and Death Matters: Human Rights and the Environment at the End of the Millennium and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Political Ecology. Her talk entitled “Consequences of Nuclear War” will address her work on Rongelap. The event will be held at 11:00am in the Hodges Library auditorium and is free and open to the public.
On Thursday, October 30th Kari Saylor Smith, Ph.D. candidate in the Anthropology Department will present "The Town Asbestos Built." Her talk will be held at 3:40pm in McClung Museum Auditorium and will address a superfund site in PA.
